Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. The operator's contact details can be found in the legal notice on this website.

How do we collect your data?

On the one hand, your data is collected by you giving us the data. This can be, for example, data that you enter in a contact form.

Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This data is above all technical data (e.g., internet browser, operating system or time of the site call up). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure the flawless provision of the website. Other data can be used to analyze your user behavior.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right at any time to obtain, free of charge, information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification, blocking or erasure of this data. If you have any questions about this or further questions about data protection, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.

In addition, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances. Details about this can be found in the data protection statement under "Right to restriction of processing".

Data protection

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection statement.

Various personal data will be collected when you use this website. Personal data is data that can be used to identify you personally. This data protection statement explains which data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.

Please note that data transmission over the internet (for example, when communicating by e-mail) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of the data from access by third parties is not possible.

Note concerning the responsible body (controller)

The responsible body for data processing on this website is:

Westfalen Mobil GmbH
Franz-Knöbel-Straße 34
D-33378 Rheda-Wiedenbrück

The responsible body is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (such as names, e-mail addresses, etc.).

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke your consent at any time. Sending us an informal message by e-mail is sufficient. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

If the data processing is performed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons that arise from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which a processing is based is specified in this data protection statement. If you object, we will cease processing your personal data unless we can provide evidence of compelling legitimate grounds for processing the data that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing is for the purpose of enforcing, exercising or defending legal claims (objection in accordance with Art. 21 (1) GDPR).

If your personal data is processed to conduct direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such advertising; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will then no longer be used for the purpose of direct marketing (objection in accordance with Art. 21 (2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of his habitual residence, his place of work or the place of the alleged violation. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we automatically process on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or a third party in a standard, machine-readable format. If you request a direct transfer of the data to another responsible person (controller), this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential contents, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as a site operator, this site uses an SSL/TLS encryption. An encrypted connection is indicated by the browser's address bar changing from “http://” to “https://” and the lock icon in your browser bar.

When SSL/TLS encryption is enabled, the data you submit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information (access), blocking, erasure and rectification

Within the scope of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time, and free of charge, to information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if necessary, the right to rectify, block or erase this data. If you have any questions about this or further questions about personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. If you have any questions about this, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice. The right to restrict processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the correctness of the personal data stored by us, we usually need time to check this. For the duration of the check, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data is/was unlawful, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or enforce legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
  • If you have filed an objection under Art. 21 (1) GDPR, an assessment must be made between your interests and ours. As long as it is not clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data - with the exception of its storage - may only be used with your consent or for the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims or protecting the rights of another natural or legal person or due to an important public interest of the European Union or a member state.

Cookies

The web pages partly use so-called cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are used to make our site more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and stored by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, accept cookies for certain cases or generally exclude them and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Cookies required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions desired by you (e.g., shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically correct and optimized provision of its services. If other cookies (for example, cookies for analyzing your browsing behavior) are stored, they are dealt with separately in this data protection statement.

Contact form

When you send us inquiries using the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us in order to process the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form thus takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. Sending us an informal message by e-mail is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you provide in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to erase it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage is no longer given (e.g., after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – especially retention periods – remain unaffected.

Registration on this website

You can register on our website to use additional features on the site. We only use the data entered for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The mandatory details requested during registration must be given in full, otherwise we will reject the registration.

For important changes, for example, in the scope of the offer or in the event of technically necessary changes, we will use the e-mail address specified during your registration in order to inform you in this way.

The processing of the data entered during registration takes place on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time. Sending us an informal message by e-mail is sufficient. The legality of the already completed data processing remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data collected during registration will be stored by us as long as you are registered on our website and will subsequently be erased. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Data transmission at the conclusion of the contract for online shops, dealers and goods dispatch

We only transmit personal data to third parties if this is necessary within the scope of the implementation of the contract, for example, to the companies entrusted with the delivery of the goods or to the bank responsible for processing the payment. A further transmission of the data does not take place or only if you have expressly consented to the transmission. A transfer of your data to third parties without express consent, such as for advertising purposes, does not occur.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, which allows the processing of data for the performance of a contract or precontractual measures.

5. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you, as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "Unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the already completed data processing operations remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data deposited with us for the purpose of obtaining the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter, and erased after cancellation of the newsletter. Data stored for other purposes by us remain unaffected.
